His Convenient Highland Wedding is book one of a quartet of romances – The Lochmore Legacy – written by myself and my good friends and fellow Harlequin authors, Lara Temple, Elisabeth Hobbes and Nicole Locke. The stories are based around Lochmore Castle, perched high on a rocky promontory on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, and two feuding clans – the Lochmores and the McCrieffs.
His Convenient Highland Wedding is set in 1848 (early Victorian – a new era for me) and it opens with heroine Flora McCrieff uncovering a mystery in the forbidden Great Tower of her childhood home, Castle McCrieff. It is a marriage of convenience story, with a poor-boy-made-good hero – the delicious but secretive Lachlan McNeil – who takes his new bride to Lochmore Castle, which he has recently purchased.
Clues as to the mystery are gradually revealed during the four books as we follow the feuding Lochmores and McCrieffs back into the past, through the Regency and Tudor eras and into Medieval times when the answer to the mystery is finally revealed! And, of course, along the way there will be four sizzling, standalone romances to enjoy – see below for more details about The Lochmore Legacy!
